Toshiba unveils Intel 6th-gen Core-powered Portégé laptop line-up

TOSHIBA HAS UNVEILED fresh iterations of its flagship business laptop range, the Z Series, adding Intel's latest 6th-gen Core processors.
The Z Series is Toshiba's "premium business laptop range", with models available in different sizes to suit "every style of worker regardless of their needs". The updates are to Toshiba's 13.3in Portégé Z20t-C, 14in Portégé Z30-C, 14in Tecra Z40-C, and 15.6in Tecra Z50-C.
Toshiba said that the addition of the 6th-gen Intel processors means the new models will "deliver enhanced performance" at the lowest power levels and boast a much-improved battery with like Toshiba PA3536U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3537U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba Satellite P200 Battery, Toshiba PA3640U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PABAS121 Battery, Toshiba PA3216U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3288U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3788U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3479U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3480U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3465U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3509U-1BRM Batterylife.
"While the ultra-mobile Portégé Z30-C is ideal for business people who are always on the move and perfect for in-demand executives who are often travelling to meetings, the Tecra Z40-C is designed to provide the optimum balance between mobility and productivity [and] features a larger screen, now available with a Full HD resolution."
As well as processor improvements, the Portégé Z20t-C model will benefit from the new USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 port for easier use.
"This further enhances the flexibility and future proofs the Portégé Z20t-C for business customers whether used as a powerful Ultrabook or a fanless tablet PC," Toshiba explained.
As for the new and improved Tecra Z50-C, Toshiba said the device is all about maximising productivity and comes with four USB 3.0 ports and an optional integrated optical disk drive. There's also dual pointing capabilities and a backlit keyboard that is said to enhance productivity in the office, even in darkened environments such as meeting room presentations.
Shipping running Windows 7 and Windows 10 so you can choose between the two, the whole of the updated Z-series also offers common docking, a common software image and common AC adapters for easier manageability across an organisation.
The updated devices will be available in the UK during the first quarter of 2016, Toshiba said.
